I had this discussion with a friend who is a scecptic more than an atheist. He believes we are to finite to really know if there is a God or not. Anyway, I believe that not only is the Word, which was before the world was, is not only inspired, as it came directly from Jesus, The Christ, but that God has protected it through the ages. The reasoning I used with him was simply, "If I can believe that Jesus created each of us, the world around us, and holds it all together, while weaving his will through our free will, then I can believe he protected the main source of our knowledge of his hand through the ages." Anyone else have a good idea on how to (argue) discuss this?

I am mistaken here. I didn't read the title too well. The Non-Canon, I do not believe to be inspired or protected. I do however believe the canonized to be, and that is what I was speaking about above.

I'm not sure if this would help or is not allowed here. (I am christian but really get deep into, as well as other faiths. anyhow if I cross the line, I will go and will say sorry) Anyhow here I go, When I here someone talk about John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.". It inspires me to my old teachings. I really get into when someone talks about "word". It is amazing how we can speak something and it will be created. (I'm not saying we are GOD in any way at all). for instance have you ever had a strange idea about, "hey that would be something really cool to make", while you were going down the road.....and the suddenly not to long into time, you see it was made. (in fact at times you are wondering who stole your idea, and you only told your wife. LOL) ------------------------------------------ So this is what I am still learning after years of learning it. "Gematria". basically every letter has a value. A=1 B=2 C=3. www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=76onHqQSAtIthis is a video talking about Gematria but in a deeper way. He talks about Hebrew letters actually making "creation". (It is almost like saying Water. and then once you get into how these symbols make things, you see it is actually two parts Hydrogen and one part oxygen). so once you get that of how that works, then I say just fast forward to the end at 1:14:10 and see what he says about Abracadabra. Awesome and I love it. If anyone would like to know more. I love to share. Thanks and I pray this can help a lot of people to seeing how AMAZING our GOD is.
